A roller shutter offers several advantages because it protects against intense sunlight, improves insulation against cold, heat and noise and serves as an additional barrier against insects and burglars. This stem roller shutter set for windows is suitable for both retrofitting and new buildings. The stem roller shutter can be mounted either on the masonry or in the window reveal, which allows the entire roller shutter to lie outside and prevents cold from entering. The heart of the stem roller shutter is the roller shutter armour. This is locked against lateral movement and consists of weatherproof PVC profiles in grey with robust multi-chamber system. The profiles belong to the Mini roller shutter system and have a deck height of 37 mm and a depth of 8 mm. The shutter armour ends with an aluminium end strip that has an integrated rubber piping. This ensures a quiet installation and prevents freezing and damage to the windowsill. The roller shutter is rolled up in a 45° roller shutter box made of weather-resistant aluminium. Inside there is a steel tube shaft with octagonal profile, to which the roller shutter suspensions and the roller sleeve are attached. The roller shutter curtain runs in two aluminium guide rails with rubber piping that minimises running and wind noise. The stem roller shutter set also includes a cutting aid for shortening the components as well as other mounting accessories. Controls are sold separately. So you can choose between manual operation with a belt winder or an electrical control with an electric belt winder or a roller shutter motor. The stem roller shutter set measuring 95 x 120 cm is ideal for windows measuring 80 x 100 cm. The height and width can be individually adjusted. We recommend choosing a stem roller shutter set whose dimensions are larger than those of your window so you can cut it if necessary.
